“Wir Machen das, was uns gerade defällt” sagt  Sängerin Claudia Uhle. 20. Zur Zeit liegen Romantik, Träume und Poesie ganz vorn – und so hören sich auch die Melodien der Band X-Perience an. Für Claudia ist ein Kindheitstraum in ErfÚllung gegangen;sie wollte schon immer Sängerin werden. Ihrem Bruder Matthias, 23 und Komponist der Band, ging es nicht viel anders. Kein Wunder: Mutter Uhle hat Musik studiert, und der Vater spielt Trompete. Songwriter Alex Kaiser, 23, war es sowieso klar, daß er “gar nichts anderes tun kann, als Musik zu machen”. Blondschopf Matthias und Stirnband-Fan Alex haben schon während ihrer Schulzeit in Ostberlin angefangen zu spielen  der eine Keyboard, der andere Gitarre. Doch Schulbands waren nicht ihr Ding, sie wollten lieber ihre eigenen Stücke spielen. Irgendwann stellten sie fest, “Daß es besse wäre, wenn Claudia singt”. Gute Entscheidung! Denn mit ihrer Debüt-Single “Circle of Friends” (*) gelang den Dance-Pop-Newcomen ein aufsehenerregender Start. Single Nummer zwei, “A Neverending Dream”, landete auf Platz vier der Media Control Charts und kam in die Top ten der Funkcharts. Der Erfolg zog schnell das erste Album “Magic Fields” nach sich, das laut Alex “eine solide Sache” geworden ist. Solide ist gut, aber ein bißchen mehr Pep könnte den drei Freunden nicht schaden. Mittlerweile ist auch die “Magic Fields”-Single auf dem Markt. Und Zukunftspläne? ” Wir sind offen für Neues, doch der Sound von X-Perience wird immer zu erkennen sein.” Schaun wir mal.

Solid as a rock

We do what we feel like doing,” says singer Claudia Uhle. 20. romance, dreams and poetry are at the forefront at the moment – and that’s what the melodies of the band X-Perience sound like. For Claudia, a childhood dream has come true; she always wanted to be a singer. Her brother Matthias, 23 and composer in the band, was no different. No wonder: mum Uhle studied music and dad plays the trumpet. Songwriter Alex Kaiser, 23, realised anyway that he “couldn’t do anything else but make music”. Blond-haired Matthias and headband fan Alex started playing during their school days in East Berlin, one on keyboards, the other on guitar. But school bands weren’t their thing, they preferred to play their own songs. At some point they realised that “it would be better if Claudia sang”. Good decision! Because the dance-pop newcomers got off to a sensational start with their debut single “Circle of Friends” (*) . Single number two, “A Neverending Dream”, reached number four in the Media Control charts and entered the top ten of the funk charts. The success quickly led to the first album “Magic Fields”, which according to Alex turned out to be “a solid thing”. Solid is good, but a little more oomph wouldn’t do the three friends any harm. The “Magic Fields” single is now also on the market. And plans for the future? ” We are open to new things, but the sound of X-Perience will always be recognisable.” Let’s see.
