To talk about Axel Breitung, is to talk about eurodance and success. He is internationally famous for producing DJ Bobo and Groove Coverage. Breitung, who had achieved his first big successes in the 80’s with the band “Silent Circle”, had already achieved dozens of gold and plantino awards when he started working with X-Perience on the third album.
The sound of the third album was a stylistic revolution for X-Perience, an album with songs full of instruments closer to folk music, like violins and flutes or drums and electric bass more typical of pop/rock and where pianos and guitars end up filling the gaps, leaving no room for the synths that had created the sound of X-Perience in the first two albums.
Perhaps because of Breitung’s own Eurodance style or because his productions were the earliest, it’s in the songs produced by him, where we find the sound link between the second album “Take Me Home” and the Ethno-Pop of “Journey Of Life”
Axel Breitung returned to music a couple of years ago, after a few years of retirement. Although he has now left production to focus on songwriting. In 2018 and 2019 more than 30 of his songs were published.
